Valley Fort weekly email - Wed 8th November. Please read - especially Minis parents!

Good day to you all,

I hope that the Minis enjoyed their first festival of the year and the U12s players enjoyed their respective Kim Lam (for U12G) and Richard Hawkes (For U12B) tournaments. I didn’t manage to get to the KL and RH tournaments but heard good reports of that a high level of rugby was played and played with excellent spirit. The Minis festival was great fun and it was great to see such a good turnout.

In this email:

  1. Friday evening training, 10th November (U9-U12, incl. U10G & U12G),
  2. Sunday morning training, 12th November,
  3. Adam Rolston, Laureus ‘Best Sporting Moment’ competition – please VOTE NOW!
  4. HK play in the Cup of Nations, Fri 10th, Tue 14th and Sat 18th November. Family promo,
  5. Valley RFC Christmas party, Mr Wolf, Sat 9th December.

  1. Friday evening TrainingHKIS, 10th November, 6.30-8pm.

Friday training focuses on skills for our Mini contact age groups – so please get your child/ren along. (U9, U10, U11, U12, U10G & U12G). For parents taking their kids (to HKIS, Tai Tam campus) by their own transport remember that you will need ID to get through the gate barrier. The club is providing a bus (first come, first served) to & from training (details below). To be clear about the use of buses, especially on Friday nights: it’s the parents responsibility to ensure the safety and behavior of their own children going to and from training. This means that if parents are unsure of their child’s ability to get off the bus at the correct stop on the way home or cannot ensure that their child behaves properly on the bus (to and from training) or that you are unsure of whether you or your helper will be there to collect your child on time at the right bus stop – then I would strongly recommend that you have someone accompany your child on those journeys. I would also recommend that you DO NOT put your child on the bus and ask the nearest parent to “just keep an eye on my son/daughter” This did happen last year - It’s not their responsibility and makes people feel uncomfortable.

If a child misbehaves there will be no second chances – they will be banned from using ALL buses for the remainder of the season.

One of our own, Adam Rolston, broke into the Guiness book of Records with his amazing ‘Longest Hole’ feat for the Laureus charity.  They are having a ‘Best Sporting Moment’ competition. Please do take a minute to vote for a top Valley player, very decent U14 Pro coach and not a bad lad either! https://mylaureus.com/

   4.  Cup of Nations, Fri 10th, Tue 14th and Sat 18th November. Family promo

Go along and support our National team against the might of Russia, the speed of Kenya and debutants Chile.

Take a look at the attached flyer. The Valley Christmas party is always a good event. Get some friends together and go along to Mr Wolf for fun, laughter, a great/late night and a hangover the next day!

That’s me – have a lovely week.

Best
