Valley Fort Rugby - update 26th October

Good afternoon,

I hope that you are all well. In this email this week:

  1. Upcoming weekend training,
  2. Kit: further update,
  3. Tigerfest,
  4. Contact minis Friday night training.

  1. Training, Sunday 29th October

Minis:

U5-U10 + U10G & U12G are at the Fort (see attached sheet for timings).

U11 & U12 are at St Stephens (see attached sheets for timings).

Colts:

U14 & U16 have their 1st National Age Group (NAG) trial – best of luck to those who are playing. Remaining U14 & U16 are not training.

Remaining Colts (U13, U14G, U19 & U19G) cannot play at HV6 beyond 11.30 due to horse racing at HV this weekend. The solution is that SCAA are allowing VF Colts to play on half of their pitch (by the Causeway bay library) from 9.30am – 12.30. Please read the emails from your Head Coach to understand the specific timings.

  1. Kit (yet again)

Who would have thought that we’d still be speaking about this on the run up to Halloween and our first festival!! If you are not the parent of a mini player please skip this part.

After further investigation (somewhat frustratingly) it seems that:

Mini NON CONTACT (U5 to U8) the Original Batch 1 shirts ARE the best fit. If you exchanged your child’s top last week please come back and reclaim it.

Mini CONTACT (U9 - U12) the remake of Batch 1 are the best fit so please collect those tops. Remember this fit is supposed to be a tighter as the kids play contact – but not rib cracking tight…

Coaches tops – the remake of Batch 1 are the best fit. If you are a parent coach please collect the remade shirt.

The bottom line is that mini parents should now have two shirts to choose from. Please return the shirt that you are not going to use and ensure that your child(ren) are in this year’s full kit at Tigerfest on 5th November.

Incorrect names on the back of some shirts – There are two or three name misprints. Those kids will be given a new blank top which their parents should take to Escapade sports in Causeway Bay and get the shirt name printed. Kukri/the club will pay for those kids with name printing errors. For all other cases (for whatever reason) then it’s HK$5 per letter payable by the parents.

Batch 3/Last batch – is due to be with us around 3rd November. This Batch includes Colts girls & additional Colts Boys kits as well as those kids who ordered at that time.

  1. Tigerfest, 5th November, Kings Park
