Valley Fort update, 18th October. Please read Action item for Minis and coaches

Good afternoon,

I hope that you are all well. I’m currently loving this cooler weather, it reminds me of a Scottish summer day. Anyway - In this email:

  1. This week’s training,
  2. Kukri kit Batch 1 (replacement) and Batch 2 delivery,
  3. HK Sevens Public Ballot now open,
  4. HKRU Charity ball, 11 Nov,
  5. HK Cup of Nations, 10, 14 & 18 Nov.

This weekend’s training (Sunday 22nd October):

Colts have matches and training at various locations. Read the email from your Head coach/manager for further information.

Minis U11 & U12 are at St Stephens – U11 are on the pitch from 9am to 10.30am; U12 are on the pitch from 10.30 to 12pm.

Minis U5 to U10 (Including U10G & U10G) are at the Fort:

U9 & U10 from 09.45 to 11.30

U7, U8, U10G and U12G from 10am to 11.30

U5 & U6 from 10.15 to 11.30

Kukri kit delivery – please read:

Batch 1 replacement shirts & Batch 2 kits should arrive with us on Saturday. We aim to distribute them on Sunday: Colts at HV6, U11 & U12 at St Stephens with the remaining minis age groups being distributed at the Fort. Batch 3 will be delivered 3rd November.

  1. We need 1 volunteer per MINI age group to assist with kit distribution on Sunday. Please speak directly to your head coach to be a volunteer for 90 minutes.
  2. Minis and Coaches MUST hand back their current Kukri tops so get your child to wear last year’s shirt or a sports jersey (unless you want to remove their shirt on the field and give it to us). You must hand back the old kukri shirt in order to be given a new, correctly fitting, shirt. We have numerous mini spares for late joiners/kids that missed the Escapade measurements but you will have to insert your own child’s names on the shirt.
  3. Handing back the old jerseys is a requirement of Kukri, who do not want any ill-fitting kit to remain on HK island. These items will be donated to a deserving charity.

HK Sevens Public Ballot:

The Public ballot is now open for the HK Sevens 2018. The ballot is open until 4th February. I’d encourage you to enter the draw to get one, or some, of the 9000 tickets up for grabs.

HKRU Charity Ball:

Want to see some Old Rockers and play some air guitar – all for charity mate…? Think about going to be HKRU Charity Ball /

Cup of Nations:

The 3rd Regal Hotels Cup of Nations returns on Fri 10th, Tue 14th & Sat 18th Nov 2017. Hong Kong welcomes Russia, Kenya & Chile. As these countries gear up for the remaining 2019 Rugby World Cup berths, this proves to be an extremely competitive lineup. Don't miss any of the action over 3 match days and reserve your tickets here at

I’ll look forward to seeing you on Sunday.

All the best
