Message from the Manager:

Guys,
Thanks for a great season conducted in true Valley Fort spirit both on and off the pitch.
As far as results go, we finished 3rd in the 15's league, 2nd in the 7's, 2nd in the 10's and were Bowl winners in the IYT 10's (and we will all remember how big that cup was !!).
In short DeA came out as top dogs, but we ran them a very close second going down by a one try difference in our two key matches with them. With a full team out, as against Sandy Bay, we had the ability to blow anyone away.
Of things to note and congratulations to share, Edmund made the National team which was a fantastic achievment and also took our "Player of the Year" award, while both Edmund and Andrew were selected to join the HK Academy, and with those two, James, Jamie and Tak all made the HK U18s team that toured in Brisbane, Paul (injury not withstanding) and Baptiste made the HK Island 7's team at the 7's.
The rest of the French quintet, Brendan, Greg and Chabal were always around with Tom, Will and Cole and the sometimes available Adip, Tommy, Hughie and John, while we also had some new faces in Laurie and our new talismen Duncan and Akshatt, and lastly it was good to see Abe, Xmas and Paper back at the end of the season.
A special mention to Higgie, Lee and Sam, who have helped all of us improve our skills and enjoy the game more and have given a big chunk of their time to help out.
For those leaving the Club, all the best and I hope to see you playing Valley men's next year, and for those staying, get your mates down and go one better and make Valley Fort the top team next year !!!
