LATEST FROM HKRFU - September 2005
Dear All,
This year for the first time the HKRFU and the
LCSD will be running a "Young Althele Rugby Training Scheme".
The whole idea of the program is to provide potential rugby player
with advanced rugby training, which is equivilent to the representative
teams. In a way this will be like a rugby academy program, but for
the general pulic who would like more
advanced rugby training. The age of players are between 10 - 15,
both boys and girls.
The program will take the form of 3 phases. In
order to get into the program, players will need to go to an accessment
which is scheduled for the 18th September at Kowloon Bay Sports
Ground. The cost of the accessment is $20. Once the player passess
the accessment, he/she will be given advanced training by professional
rugby players (importors along with our HK Team players e.g. Andy
Yuen, Micheal Lo, Feigai etc). The cost of Phase I will be $70,
which the player will received training every Thursday (evening)
and Sunday (afternoon) from Sep - late Oct (two locations either
Ma On Shan or Kowloon Bay).
At the end of the phase I another assessment will
be carried out and only those who pass will get into Phase II, hence
more training provided. At the end of Phases III, if the player
passes the assessment, he/she will be given more emphasis at the
HK Representative Team selections (U14 or U16s). Hence consideration
will be given to players who go through the
entire program when it comes to rep team selections.
Please find attached the application form for the
program. Could you please forward the form out to all your members,
and have them to fax or mail the complete form back to us, whislt
the money can be paid at the first assessment on the 18th September
at Kowloon Bay Sports Ground. If you have any further enquiries
please to do not hestitate to contact me
(2504 8300).
Kind Regards
Brandon
