LATEST FROM HKRFU - October 2006

Dear All,

The waiting's over, Synovate HKCC kick-off the domestic season and the start of their league title defence against DeA Tigers in the "G4S Friday Night Thriller" at King's Park at 7.30pm.  As usual it's free entry with parking and tasty food & beverages available - the perfect start to the weekend!  On Saturday there's a full fixture list through all Divisions - details below...

Please make sure all your players are registered online before you play at the weekend - go to www.hkrugby.com and click on ADMIN - if you don't know your club password and username let me know and I will send to you along with a users guide in English or Chinese.

Meanwhile the Colts got started last Sunday with the U16s league, and there were wins for DeA, Valley Fort, DeA II, Twisters, Lions and Causeway Bay.
It was also great to see 10 new junior referees running round getting their first taste of life as a whistler...

This year is the 40th anniversary of the New Year's Day Youth Tournament, and we're looking for volunteers to help coach and manage the teams - there's U14, U16, U18 and U19 boys and U16 and U19 girls.  It's a great showcase of Hong Kong youth rugby, and loads of fun - if you'd like to get involved please bin.huang@hkrugby.com before 27 October.

HKFC Youth Section are off on an exciting tour to Kiwi legend Murray Mexted's Rugby Academy; they're off on 27 October for 1 week, and there are some places still available - if you'd like more details please contact Sanjay on slalwani@netvigator.com
