COACHES BRIEFING

Fri/Sat/Sun 30/31 March & 1 April 2007

I trust you all had a good final session of the season, notwithstanding that many were nursing sore heads following the Club Dinner the night before; the dinner was a great success on all levels and many thanks to all those who put so much time into organizing it. Many thanks to Carl for being brief in the end of season ceremony and to the members of the Fijian team who joined us and were so accommodating and tolerant.

 We are now into 7’s week and Head Coaches (plus their teams) need to be very organized as we cannot afford any slip ups this week. Carl will be sending all Head Coaches a detailed email in the next couple of days on the 7’s arrangements (we will have to be patient as things always come together but often at the last minute) but a couple of reminders in advance: 

  1. -         All squads already know when (date and time) and where (pitch) they are playing so please ensure you gather your squads in plenty of time as late comers will not get on the pitch; Carl will advise on Pitch Passes but we have been advised that only 2 coaches per entered team will be allowed to accompany the players to the pitch during the Showcase Games

  2. -         Click HERE for details for the March Past so please familiarize yourself and your coaching teams with these; given the number of children involved in this please ensure your squad’s parents are very prompt in the delivery and collection of their offspring as you will deservedly want to head off for a beer after the latter and release yourself of player responsibility

  3. -         Whilst late in the day, if anyone has access to spare Children’s tickets (any and/or all days) please contact me asap as there are still a few players who joined late in the season but would like to participate

  4. -         Please ensure you have both Carl and my mobile numbers with you at the stadium just in case

  5. -         As ever, please ensure you email me on the Monday with your squad results including try counts so I can post on the website

  6. -         Please remember your season reports for Carl are due by Easter

  7. -         Any team with spare medals please pass to me in case any of our teams are short due to excess players
