COACHES BRIEFING

SUNDAY 29th October 2006

This week is the deadline for payment for the Singapore Tour Fees as per Carl’s email to those concerned

- The Sevens Ticket Application deadline has now passed

- Please reiterate that some people are still parking in areas which are prohibited and that only the main car park should be used (we will be logging number plates of offenders from now on)

- Too many squads are still not clearing up their rubbish so please also highlight the need for families to do this themselves

- Whilst it is statutory for all contact rugby players to wear mouthguards (please would you ensure that you enforce this), it is also highly recommended that the non contact squads also wear theirs so that they adjust for when it is mandatory but also to avoid any accidents now

- The management of the club have requested that each squad appoints a club administrator who will handle/support the Head Coach in the off pitch matters which will include the Clubhouse duties amongst other things so please would all Head Coaches email me and copy Kim Murphy and Carl Redman on the nominated individual by Thursday night

- Any squad who has not yet provided the 2 names of attendees (parents will do if coaches are not available) for the First Aid Course on Sunday 29th October at the Fort (meeting point will be the Clubhouse at 9.30am) should email me by Thursday night

- DeA Tigers have been advised of the number of teams entered for their Festival on 12th November so please ensure your players turn up on the day; by way of heads up I will assume you will enter the same number of teams for the Festivals on 26th November and 10th December unless you advise otherwise well in advance

- As we organized club transport at a cheap rate last year for the Flying Kukris Tournament, I would be grateful if Head Coaches would email me by 2nd November and advise whether they have any interest and could generate sufficient passengers to consider doing this again

- It has been decided that there will be no training on 3rd December given the Singapore Tour although I believe that weekend may see the Professional Sevens at the Fort so players are most welcome to attend this and enjoy a great day out

- It is great to see that the Club is growing and we have many more players than last season; however please continue to be patient on the kit as the significantly increased numbers has made Sally’s planning much more complicated and she will let us know when further kit is available

Many thanks,

Nick Pasha
