COACHES BRIEFING:
SUNDAY 26th November 2006
An excellent joint training session at Kings' Park this Sunday - many thanks to our friends at DEA Tigers for being such wonderful hosts. Well done to all parents and kids for such an excellent turnout as well. As I approached the ground, all I could see was a Sea of Red!
- The schedule for the Sandy Bay has not been issued at the time of writing this report. It will be distributed to Head Coaches as and when the Club receives it. One note about the Sandy Bay tournament is that there will be no parking next to the venue. Traditionally, the traffic police have a field day - so it is recommended to use other forms of transport
- Aparently, body armour should NOT be worn at festivals, so please ensure that the kids follow this rule
- At festivals, you must remember to inform the referee and the opposition coach of any play up/down players
- Would all Head Coaches please ensure that their pages are updated early in the week. Moreover, please ensure that your webpage has individual pictures of the full coaching staff (a real mugs' gallery!), as well as a few pictures of the kids training or playing sessions. This is important for the Club, and the kids regularly visit the site - so please take the time to enrich it.
- For those Head Coaches who have not yet appointed a squad administrator, if you wish to do so, please inform Nick Pasha as soon as possible
- With respect to the forthcoming festival at the Flying Kukris on 10th December, Andrew Sheppard will be contacting you to get numbers for buses up to/from the festival. It is imperative that we get accurate numbers quickly, so please get this information ready for Andrew at your earliest convenience. More details about timing and departure/drop off points will be given once we have an idea of the tournament schedule
- We have now taken receipt of the remaining tour kit, so hopefully we can get all the kids kitted out as soon as possible. Apologies for the delay in getting this sorted - it was done as quickly as humanly possible (thanks to Sally and Hugh). We thank members for their patience and understanding. distribution will be when we are next at the Fort.
- Hopefully all results are now submitted to Nick from last weeks' Tigers' Festival. Please remember to do the same from the Sandy Bay Festival
- For those going on the Singapore Tour, please remember to book for the Saturday Night Dinner. We are still trying to organise a suitable venue - but it will happen, so make those bookings and payments to Any Tours. If you have any other questions or queries, please contact Carl. Tour captains and vice captains should now be communicated to Carl at your earliest convenience.
Yours in rugby
Nick and Carl
