COACHES BRIEFING

SUNDAY 25th November 2007

I trust you all had a good session yesterday in preparation for the upcoming Tours and Festivals.

  1. U5’s have 3 weeks break now until 16th December when we will have our final session of the year
  2. Sandy Bay: Please notify your squads that there will basically be no parking inside or outside the ground although parking will be available at the Cyberport at a charge. Given that there is a fun run that day, please ask all to allow extra time for getting to the ground from your mode of transport as it will involve a walk of 10 mins or so.
  3. Singapore Tour: Your squads should be ready; per Carl’s recent emails please check off the following: cheques for Tour Fees, consolidated player lists, training balls, guardian letters, Captains and Vice Captains per team, VF kit including track suits and ruck sacks, Cup of Nations form etc
  4. Flying Kukris: We are looking into putting on buses and will notify you once we have the details
  5. Tai Po Dragons: As our last training before the Christmas break is on 16th December and there will not be much time before the TPD Festival on 13th Jan at King’s Park, I suggest you find out which of your players will participate so you can respond quickly on your team entries when asked
  6. We may have another club join us for training at the Fort on 27th January and I will confirm as soon as I can
  7. Notify your members that they can queue and get 7’s tickets on 8th December at the stadium when there is the public sale (get there early as there are only 5000 tickets available and each person can get 2) as we are not going to be able to fulfill everyone’s applications through the Club given the HKRFU receiving such demand from all segments which will result in Mini Rugby receiving an allocation which does not cover all requests; the Club Committee will update all when we have the full details
  8. For all those who have completed their coaching certification, please keep putting in the hours and maintaining the log book as this is required to maintain the current qualification

Please ensure you give me the results in the usual format after each Festival and the Tour so I can post.
