The roster is now on the Calendar for Clubhouse Helpers. It is imperative that each age group supports this initiative.

Website

Please ensure that you fill in your head coaches’ report by Tuesday – the kids do look forward to it. Animate it with photographs from your sessions and festivals

Coaching Teams

You should by now have an idea of your coaching teams, team photographers and team administrators (or whatever else you want). Can you ensure that the details (photographs, contact details) are on the website. It is also important that everyone who is a coach is qualified. If the coach is not yet qualified, then they need to get onto a course.

Coaches/Administrators’ Uniforms

Once you have formed your coaching teams, can you please inform the Director of Mini/Colts as appropriate, of the team lists. This will enable us to plan our purchase of uniforms

Boot Exchange

This has started this week, and it went very well. Thank you to all of those that made a contribution. Keep it up, I certainly think it is worth while.

Kit Distribution

This is a major industrial process – getting kit to almost 500 kids. It was an incredible effort by Tonda and her team. A sincere “thank you” to all of those who helped out – a significant contribution. It was very hot and stressful work.

Obviously we could not get it all done, so we will do the U11 and U12 teams next week. For the Colts, can I please ask Symon and David Owens to liaise with Tonda and I to organise the distribution next week

As a reminder to parents, the kit should be tight for “contact” rugby. It does take a bit of getting used to – but the kit should be skin-tight.

Thank you to all parents and players for their patience and good nature. My apologies for the few who have to wait for shorts. Hopefully we will have those in soon.

Scholarship Players

Can Head Coaches please let Kim Murphy know of any players who are being awarded scholarships at the club (i.e. having their fees waived).

Play Up and Play Down

This needs to be done as soon as possible. Can you please ensure that these are done as soon as possible: forms can be printed from the Website www.valleyfort.com/Pages/Rules.htm. Once completed, they must be passed to the Director of Mini/Colts and then to me.

Maintenance Man/Woman

We really need a handy man/woman. There are a number of little jobs around the place that need to be done, and we would be really grateful if someone could organise a little DIY.

Festival and Tour

As specified previously, please provide details (number of teams) to Nick for the Tigers’ Festival and to Carl for the Singapore Tour.

Kit Maintenance

Next week, I will need to ask for some help in moving the kit indoors. The current place is not suitable (a lot of the kit is in water). I am now going to order some new kit as previously requested from Coaches. If there is anything specific that you need, please inform Carl.

Please make sure that all balls are collected up at the end of the session.

Photography Competition

We are looking to change the photograph on the website front page (at around Christmas), so we are looking to get those keen amateur photographers amongst you to send Carl your favourite shots. We will get Elisabetta to choose her favourite (and most suitable for the website). Photos should show our wonderful new kit, and also the sponsors’ logo. Consent from the parents of any children in the photo MUST be given before eligibility can be considered. So get snapping!
