COACHES BRIEFING: for 20th September 2009

Dear all

Great session yesterday, still too hot but we can't help that!! Here are some points for this week:

1. Pitches for next 3 weeks - I have updated the attached table based on yesterday's discussion and I have confirmed the arrangements shown with FC and DEA. I am still waiting for some more responses from Aberdeen, HKIS and HKU Sandy Bay. I am travelling in China this week but will update you with any changes to the table by Wednesday for you to then confirm with parents Thursday onward as agreed. Elisabetta, please do not post this table on the website yet but please post an updated version on Thursday. Those of you who are using beaches etc please let me know so I can update the table.

2. Tour - Bill Cotter and I are aiming to send out an email to ascertain interest in Singapore 5 and 6 Dec in a week or so. This will only go to parents in the age groups who can actually go (younger age groups will unfortunately be excluded as the tournament does not cater for them).

3. Transfers - you should all have the name transfers for your age groups for the backs of shirts. Please give these out next week and let me have the money back, the price is $50 per NAME not per LETTER, all for charity.

4. Medical cover - please can I have, this week, a list of names, email addresses and mobile numbers from each of you of people in your age group (coaches or parents) who are qualified first aiders or who have professional medical qualifications. We need to put in place some sort of medical support for the teams using Happy Valley in the weeks to come. I suggest you delegate this task to one of your parents or coaches.

5. Coach the coaches - Laurent Suspene will now work with Ali MacAlay to set up these sessions on a Wednesday night at a venue to be confirmed. Watch this space.
