COACHES BRIEFING:  18th January 2009

I trust all had a good day yesterday at the TPD Festival which was well organized and enjoyed great weather. Please let me have your results in the usual format TODAY.

• I need your 7’s team entries by 12th January which is TODAY (only complete sides which involves same number of players per team as Festivals plus 3 subs and we cannot have players representing 2 teams) but be aware that there may well be team restrictions; please note that players can only participate if they have an entry ticket for the stadium and that the U5’s do not participate in the Showcase games; draft schedule due by end of January
• Please let me know your team entries this week for the DeA Tigers Festival on 15th February and the Football Club Festival on 8th March
• Please update your webpages and post your weekly reports and photos (especially those from Festivals and Tours)
• The calendar for the second half of the season is now on the website; we have got almost all the dates for which we applied but do not have access to the Fort on 25th January
• Hugh will keep you posted on coaching and referees courses
• As a Club, we require ALL players at ALL age groups to wear mouthguards, both for protection and, in the case of the younger players, to get used to wearing them so it will be easier when it is a requirement under the Laws
• Please encourage as many of your players to get down to watch the Valley vs Club seniors match on Saturday at 6pm as per Carl’s email
