COACHES BRIEFING:
SUNDAY 17th December 2006
I trust all had an enjoyable and successful Festival yesterday at the Flying Kukris and we appreciate your efforts in getting organized at short notice after initially not being invited to participate; special thanks to David Hughes and Hugh Garway in coordinating with our hosts and arranging the transport respectively
- As ever, please email me as soon as possible with your results from yesterday in the usual format
- One of our players was bitten during a match due to an opposition player not wearing a mouthguard so we should use this as a prompter across all age groups to wear them
- Having had a long spell away from the Fort due to tournaments and tours (thanks to Jim Randolph and the U5 squad for their patience as the recent scheduling means they have not had a run out for a number of weeks), we are back at Stanley on Sunday for the final session before the Christmas break which is usually followed by festive cheer including mince pies and mulled wine so please encourage a good turnout (I am sure all have a few aspects gleaned from the matches which require attention)
- Whilst we have yet to receive an invitation to join the Tai Po Dragons Festival on 7th January, I would suggest all Head Coaches use their report this week to get an idea of player availability as contacting your squads may be difficult during Christmas but we will still potentially need to be able to respond to team entry requests in short order (subject to confirmation but it has usually been held at King’s Park)
- Please would all those who took squads to Singapore liaise directly with Carl on photos and video as he will be preparing a record of the Tour and needs all submissions sooner rather than later
- Please diarise Saturday 27th January for a Club junk trip with invitees to include all coaches and their partners as well as Committee members; please also confirm to me your coaching teams’ availability (or not) for that day ASAP
