Coaches Briefing: SUNDAY 15th October 2006

- All coaches should now be fully kitted out (after yesterday) so please complete the photos and contacts this week for the web (full coaching teams should now be known for each age group)

- Sally Peters will soon be receiving some additional players kit and I will notify you when it is available

- Please ensure all those who have committed to the Singapore Tour pay this week as per Carl’s note

- As requested yesterday, please press your squad to order and pay for the 7’s tickets as the deadline for this is fast approaching and we want to avoid any disappointments

- As I received no response to my previous request, I now assume there are no outstanding Play up/Play Down forms yet to be given to me; however, if there are please do so this Sunday as we have to submit to the HKMRFU Committee and we do not want players to miss out playing at the festivals due to lack of paperwork

- Please also strongly encourage some volunteers to step up for the previously requested posts of Treasurer, Membership Secretary, Kit Maintenance Manager and Clubhouse Manager as the response has been very disappointing and frankly not demonstrative of the commitment we want to see as evidenced by the Coaches, existing Committee etc which enables all to enjoy the wonderful club

- Some coaching squads may be a bit shorthanded on Sunday as there is a referees course that day

- Apologies for the lack of a First Aid Course but this will be rescheduled

- Given that we have 3 festivals (in addition to the Singapore tour) in November and December, I suggest you give the heads up to your squad and parents in your weekly report so they can diarise the dates but also you can advise them that you will need a SWIFT response on player participation when you ask them so you can advise the hosts how many teams you will submit, you can prepare your team lists and avoid the usual last minute rejigging etc

- Parking at the Fort: Please notify your squads that parking is ONLY in the allocated Car Park and those using anywhere else should only be those loading or unloading stock and food and that this is only temporary. Those currently parking outside of the main Car Park are potentially jeopardizing our use of the Fort

- People are still leaving litter (coffee cups, bottles, crisp packets etc) which is not on…..not only is it not the responsibility of coaches and those helping run the club, it also potentially can prejudice the PLA against granting us continued use of the Fort

- I understand that $500 went missing from a parents belongings on Sunday so please ask all to look after their own belongings as well as keeping an eye out for those of others
