COACHES BRIEFING
COACHES BRIEFING: Sunday 12th October 2008
- Some squads have yet to upload their webpages with the weekly reports (deadline is Tuesday close of play weekly) as well as squad and coaches photos/contacts; we are a month into the season now so please ensure you are uptodate this week
- Also, please would those yet to do so update Elisabetta so she can complete the Contacts page on the website
- Please also remind all players to wear mouthguards
- Notify Kim Murphy as soon as possible on any errors in your updated team lists
- I assume all Play Up/Down forms were emailed to Carl as requested
- I trust all have responded to Bob’s email
- SINGAPORE TOUR: Please check your lists as sent out by Carl and sort out any discrepancies URGENTLY
- We are still waiting for final confirmation on the Bledisloe Cup tickets………apologies but it is out of our hands so bear with us and we will update you as soon as we have something to say
- Given that we know the dates of Festivals, I would recommend some forward planning by emailing your squads to find out which players are available for which Tournaments; this will make your life much simpler when I ask you for your team entries as it will avoid the last minute rush chasing players for commitments and juggling your teams to ensure your can field sufficient players for the teams you have entered
Thanks,
Nick Pasha
Gents.... can I please make a plea with you all to have your web pages updated with:
- Coaches Photos and contact details
- Weekly report (I know that you all liaise with your squads via email as well - but please try to use the website)
- Action photos...
The reality is that we are all way too busy to do all of this I know.... But I do happen to know that the youngsters do love to see their coaches, and read about their rugby too. Parents also may be wondering who is the Head Coach etc - so I think it is important to populate the page. It makes you much more approachable. I can do no more than ask....
Also, I would like to remind you (it was in my Chairman's newsletter.....) that I want to replace the photo on the front of the web. Sick of looking at that ugly little git (yes..... it was the one liberty I have taken as Chairman - I am not as pure as Hugh). So get your "parents" snapping away.
Cheers to all
Carl
PS - I am sorry to say that my opinion of the organisation of the Bledisloe Cup (from the Union), is an absolute disgrace for a professional organisation. We WILL get the tickets we have asked for (numbers), but we will have to really work hard to make everyone's requirements fit to what we are given - in a short space of time. I will always keep you informed about what is going on.
