COACHES BRIEFING

SUNDAY 11th March 2007

Many thanks to all who attended Carl’s briefing on Sunday; whilst the Minutes will be issued at some point please remember that each squad must submit a Season report to Carl before Easter.

Please click HERE for the Match Schedule for the HKFC Festival on 11th March; whilst there is no ability to change anything they have tried to accommodate our request to play competitive matches wherever possible. The following is a note from the hosts:

As there are going to be 1900 players and parents coaches... (crowd of say 3000) may I suggest, for crowd control sake, that if you intend to arrive as a club you use the entrance between the Jockey Club and Football Club or the public entrance along Wong Nai Chung Road (see map on attachment) to access the pitches. I have been told by HKFC officials that if too many people use the narrow tunnel within the club itself they will close front entrance on safety grounds.

- Please ask one of the parents to keep a record of the scores and tries for and against and let me know these on Monday

- Also click HERE for the amended Sevens Showcase Games schedule; again no more changes and only 1 match per team. Each team will receive 2 Pitch Passes for the coaches for the Showcase Games and the Head Coach will need to decide who goes onto the pitches with the players if you have a large coaching staff (one idea would be to prioritise those who have not experienced this before)

- Remember to tell your members to get their applications in for the Annual dinner on 24th March ASAP as there has been such demand that we will likely have to operate a first come first served basis if the numbers exceed the capacity at Café Deco

- To aid your planning, we are aiming to start the End of Season Ceremony on Sunday 25th at 11am so please organize yourselves to finish training early and have completed your squad debriefs by this time
