COACHES BRIEFING:  Sunday 2nd November 2008

  1. Whilst most you have already done so by notifying me of their team entries for the Flying Kukris Festival on 14th December, please plan ahead if you have not and let me know asap
  2. I should be able to get back to the U11 & U12 squads on Thursday regarding participation in the Bledisloe Cup Showcase matches
  3. Please turn your mind to planning for the Singapore Tour and the Sandy Bay Festival including coaching structure, who will referee, play up/down notification, team make up etc
  4. Please update your webpages and post your weekly reports
  5. Carl wants any good action shots emailed to him so that he can update the front page of the website so please action asap
  6. There are still a few cars parking behind the clubhouse so please issue a reminder to your squads on this as well as to remove their litter
  7. Please keep your eyes out for news on a refereeing course and news from Hugh on coaching courses and ensure you keep him updated on your coaching team’s participation
  8. TRAINING DATES (Message from Carl): The Fort has informed us that we cannot have access to the Fort on 16th & 23rd November. Whilst obviously disappointing, we are very lucky with the access they do give us. We are more than happy if you can suggest other options. There is a massive problem at the moment in HK for pitch space, so any other playing area for a club like us (size) may prove difficult. Another option may be to have a joint training session with another club. Previously we have done this with Aberdeen, DEA and Sandy Bay. So if you have a good relationship with the Head Coach of any club then let Nick and I know. The group hit most is the U5s, because on 30th Nov is the Tour/Sandy Bay Festival, so no rugby for them... Once again I am sorry about this.
  9. HK7s TICKETS (Message from Kim) Dear Coaches, Could you please make all of your team parents aware that the Sevens Tickets orders are due by the 7th November. The information is all on the website and we are emailing all famileis but somehow people still tells us they didn’t know? The deadline this year is very quick so we need to hammer the message this weekend! Many thanks Kim
