COACHES BRIEFING

I trust all enjoyed the first day of training and have begun to blow off the cobwebs on what was a scorcher……I am pleased to see that common sense prevailed and Head Coaches curtailed the session………please highlight to your squads the need to bring plenty of water and sun cream!

As per Carl’s briefing, the key messages are:

1. Ensure your squad and their parents regularly check the website and your team page as it is our main form of communication with the outside world
2. Therefore please post your weekly reports via Elisabetta ( elisabettaharper@hotmail.com) by the close of play every Tuesday and also post photos of your coaches with contacts as well as a squad photo and action shots (it is worthwhile getting a parent volunteer to be your squad’s official photographer)
3. You may also want to appoint a squad administrator to assist you in the non playing admin aspects so you can focus on the pitch activity
4. Hugh Garway will be the main point of contact on coaching matters including courses in his capacity as Head of Coaching so please direct any queries to him
5. Please ensure you get your parents to respond asap when you receive the Singapore Tour Booking Form given the tight timing
6. Cascade to your squads the Festival dates as per the calendar so you can respond promptly with team entries when requested
7. Please also get volunteers for the positions we need to fill as outlined by Carl……the Club can only continue to function with parents putting up their hands
8. Please ensure you look after your equipment and keep the Clubhouse in an orderly fashion
9. Tonda will be in touch on kit distribution
10. Please check your membership lists for any errors including those playing in the wrong age groups and keep Kim Murphy posted (and chase those who have not paid their subs); remember we must be strict on Playing Up/Down and only for genuine safety reasons
