End of Season photo!

Dear all,

this is the final report for the season. A very big thank you from the coaches to all of the children and parents who have participated this year. The team has really grown in confidence and all of the kids now understand how to enjoy playing a team game and to participate in competitive festivals.

In the previous 2 years their were flashes of teamwork, but now all of the children have a sense of positional play and more importantly, they have all been regulars on a Sunday, which shows that they really enjoy themselves.
Everything else is secondary (you may not think so to listen to us all on the sidelines during the festival matches, but it is so true).

Everyone deserves a mention, although I will miss many. Uppermost in my mind is the image of Sam bringing down a DEA player twice his size at the HKFC competition in a flying tackle. Benji has been tireless in defence. Tristan has shown incredible speed and skill, particularly in recent games as has
Will, another great new found attacker. James was the tireless "finisher" - last weekend, scoring two tries. Dallas is a very fast convert from American football. Dylan had also never played before and will never look back.
Vincienne has been a super team member for a long while now. Jack is always closing down those wings and Arnaud is a future Le Bleus flyhalf. Thibault has become the best ball turnover specialist in the league. Andrew is a sweeping defender and attacker. Daniel has found his pace in attack. Christian and Piers have been great all rounders. Jean Marco and Max are regulars who that have an eye on the backfield break. Barnaby scored a full length of the field sprint try on Sunday. Jaime has a more determined face in attack than anything the All Blacks have turned out in recent years. Samuel made a great return on the weekend and welcome to Jared.

Now to the planning for the weekend. There are two events that the children will love. They are playing a game as part of Friday's opening and also can take part in the March past on Sunday at lunchtime.

To take part on Friday and Sunday all of the children must be in full SF rugby gear (white pants, green socks and green jersey). The childrem must also have a children's ticket to get into the ground.

1. Friday Sevens Mini Rugby - We have one game each for two teams of seven aside (SF1 and SF2). SF2 plays TSW at 3:50pm on Friday on Pitch3. SF1 plays SSP at 4:05 on Pitch 5. Pitch 3 and 5 are next two each other, when entering the ground they are on right hand back corner of the field against the South Stand.
See the website for details. We will meet at 3:15pm at the immediate right hand corner as you enter nearest the main gate and walk down. If you are late my mobile number is 9268 1711.

2. Sunday March Past - All of the teams collect on the ramp to the immediate right as you enter at the main gate. All the clubs and age groups line up in order and then file down into the tunnel and march around the field with everyone throwing toy footballs at them, alot of fun.

This is a great end to the season. However, we need to know definite numbers for Friday so please email me to let me know if your child will or will not make it for the games (mreede@paulweiss.com). We can only play 14, with a limited number of substitutes so if we have too many we will need to give preference to the most regular players during the season.

See you for the final match on Friday.

Michael, Tarmo, Philippe and Bill

PS There is an opening for another coach next season, so anyone interested please put up your hand.
